Phred's Stuck on Pluto was a series of promos that aired on Noggin in summer 1999. They were based on the premiere episode of Phred on Your Head Show, which ended with Phred stranding himself on Pluto. (In 1999, Pluto was still considered a planet.)

Description

These commercials were made to inform viewers about how Phred was sent to the planet Pluto in the Nickelodeon preview. Phred pleads the children to go on Noggin.com and play the Phred games to make Nogga-Watts to power the big head rocket, his only way home. Three of these commercials were produced (or at least found).

Commercial 1

A Static Voice: Greetings, Earthlings. Do not adjust your TV set.

Phred: Ah, just kidding. It's me, Phred with a P-H. In case you haven't heard... I'M STUCK ON PLUTO WITH A P-L!!! However, you can help rescue me. That's me with an M-E. All you gotta do is log in to noggin.com and use your Noggin to play some games. The brain energy that you use to play will convert itself into Nogga-Wats, which are ressential power units needed to make Noggin's Big Head Rocket blast off and rescue me off Pluto. Capiche? I thought so. So, at the risk of sounding both repetitive and redundant, I'm imploring you: log on to noggin.com real soon! Fill up the Big Head and help me get home! Please! I'm phreezing up here. That's phreezing with a P-H!

Commercial 2

Phred: Hello everybody, I'm Phred with a P-H, and due to some unforseen circumstances, I now find myself stranded on Pluto, the planet farthest from the sun? Allow me to explain what "farthest from the sun" actually means. It means it's really, really, really, really, really COLD up here! Like, you know how after a blizzard when you're outside rolling around making snow angels, and you got like 10 inches of snow down the back of your pants, and you're like MAN IT'S COLD!!! Well, that's nothing compared to how cold it is on Pluto! Cause it's -396.4° up here. Fortunately, there is something you can do to help, and you don't even need to leave the warmth of your own computer room. Just log in to noggin.com and look for me, Phred with a P-H. When you see me, say hi. Don't be shy. Tell me what's shakin'. Because besides being incredibly cold, I'm incredibly lonely! But enough about me, back to you. While you're at noggin.com, you'll see this rocket ship shaped like a huge head. Don't laugh, that's my ride home! Anyways, it needs energy from kids' Noggin's to make it run. So log in to noggin.com, play some games, fuel my Big Head Rocket and get me the heck outta here! Hey, can somebody see if that rocket can stop at Miami on the way home? I hear it's nice there this time of year.

Commercial 3 (note: incomplete)

Phred: (...read) the script wrong. I was supposed to go interview this greek guy Plato, and instead I ended up on Pluto! Pluto, Plato, it's a common mistake, right? Wrong! I mean, Pluto's a beautiful planet and all, and I'm sure people here would be really nice, if there were any! But there aren't no people. And worse, no kids! Not that kids aren't people, you know what I mean. So please, if it's not too much to ask, could you log in to noggin.com, play some games, and donate your Noggin power to the Big Head Rocket so I can get home and host Noggin's Phred on Your Head Show? And see my mommy? You play games, I come home. Log in to noggin.com. SOON!
