Noggin Boogie is a package series that aired during commercial breaks on Noggin. It is a collection of musical scenes from Noggin shows, as well as repackaged segments from Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. Sings and Jungle Boogie.

Like other package series, the segments were all pre-existing scenes from Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop's archive libraries. The opening and ending animations were the only newly-made footage.

The segments were all geared toward younger kids. For older viewers, there was a similar package series called Noggin Gold, which focused specifically on older music videos from Sesame Workshop's shows.

Logline

The package had an official summary on Noggin's programming site, which was:

"Have you ever done the 'Continental Hop' to learn about the continents of the world? Noggin Boogie features live-action and animated music videos with an educational slant, covering a range of subjects from counting and grammar to conservation and emotional awareness. Think of it as knowledge set to a groovy beat." (source)

History

The opening and ending were animated by FableVision, an animation studio that also made some of Noggin's other promo materials. The segments aired from 1999 until 2002.

Summary

The intro starts in an ordinary dining room. A boy invites the viewers under the table, and the camera zooms under it to show a disco floor with five multicolored kids dancing. An offscreen singer sings "Noggin Boogie," and the camera then zooms into the disco ball, which turns to reveal the Noggin Boogie logo.
