"Fantastic Day" was a song performed by Moose and Zee once Noggin signed on every day at 6am. It debuted with the two new mascots/hosts on April 7, 2003, and when Noggin became Nick Jr. in 2009, it continued to air[1] (albeit with Nick Jr.'s name instead of Noggin's, and a few lyrics changed) as late as February 29, 2012. In the song, Moose sings about what we'll do today and how great it will be.
Lyrics
Note:Lyrics in Bold are the differences from the Noggin and Nick Jr version
Are you ready? (Ready!!)
Are you ready Zee?
Great! Follow me!
We’re gonna climb some trees
Buzz with the bees
We’ll squeeze through a hole
With ants and a mole
We’re gonna paint and scribble
And splash and dribble
Whatcha got there, Zee?
Oh (Noggin Version), Huh (Nick Jr. Version), It’s a picture of me.
It’s gonna be a fantastic day (Let’s play!)
Everybody shout hooray (HOORAY!)
I’m using my noggin today (Noggin Version)
There's only one thing to say (Nick Jr. Version)
(Oh yeah!)
I’m using my noggin today (Noggin Version)
My favorite day is, well, today! (Nick Jr. Version)
We’re gonna count to 10
And back to 1 again
Watching numbers zoom
All around the room
The alphabet is here
From A to Z
We’ll meet them all
Just follow me!
It’s gonna be a fantastic day (Let’s play!)
Everybody shout hooray (HOORAY!)
I’m using my noggin today (Noggin Version)
There's only one thing to say (Nick Jr. Version)
(Oh yeah!)
I’m using my noggin today (Noggin Version)
My favorite day is today! (Nick Jr. Version)
Well, we're all here together.
There's you, and there's me,
and over there is Zee.
Hey, Zee, isn't this great? Zee?
I love to see you so excited, Zee.
I'm getting a little sleepy.
[yawning] Sorry, just a little... (Noggin Version)
Just a Little [yawning] (Nick Jr. version)
[snoring]
(Wake up! 3x) (Another WAKE UP is said in the Nick Jr. version, but not the Noggin version)
What Huh? OHHH!!!
It’s gonna be a fantastic day (Let’s play!)
Everybody shout hooray (HOORAY!)
I’m using my noggin today (Noggin Version)
There's only one thing to say (Nick Jr. Version)
(Oh yeah!)
I’m using my noggin today (Noggin Version) (2x)
My favorite day is today! (Nick Jr. Version) (2x)
Differences in the Nick Jr. version
- Throughout the song, Moose’s vocals have been re-recorded.
- The orange background in the beginning is slightly darker.
- Moose runs onto the screen differently.
- Moose walks to the tree instead of the tree appearing behind him.
- Moose walks right to the hole instead of running, and he jumps right in it instead of stopping before jumping in.
- The top flower is on the left instead of the right
- Zee is on the right instead of the left
- There are two extra ants in the two empty holes
- The Mole in the hole jumps between facing Moose and facing the right edge of the screen instead of facing the right edge the entire time.
- Moose jumps to the art room instead of walking there.
- Moose's beret shrinks.
- There are other different color paint splashes when Moose splashes the paintbrush instead of just red and yellow.
- Zee does not move the picture, or bounce, and is still after painting Moose.
- Moose's feeling when he saw the picture of himself changes.
- The paintings in the arm room disappear instead of staying.
- The background changes from the art room to the vehicles by itself, rather than Moose walking over.
- The vehicles come when Moose starts singing instead of coming while he is singing.
- The vehicles are slower.
- Each "I'm using my noggin today!" becomes "My favorite day is today!" since Noggin is gone.
- The vehicle room background doesn't change to the apple room background until after Moose says today!
- The boy in the blue car is still there when Moose says today!
- A green car comes right before the vehicle room background changes to the apple room background
- The sound of the apples zooming around the room changes.
- The apple room background changes to the letter background while Moose says "All around the room!" instead of after
- Moose says "Z!" immediately after "From A to" instead of slight gap.
- Sounds effects are heard when the A and Z drop.
- The telescope controls Moose's eye differently.
- The third fish is in the middle of the background instead of at the bottom.
- Moose's paper boat hat disappears before he throws the telescope offscreen
- All the birds come in individually instead of all at the time.
- Zee's eyes are still fully open when Moose goes to sleep
- "Wake up!" was heard 4 times instead of 3.
- The last bird doesn't turn into a kid until the background turns back to sky blue.
- The kids start walking away when Moose says What? OH!
- Moose's eyes don't open until after he says What? OH!
- Moose gets up instead of sitting while waking up
- All the humans walk away at different times rather than the same time.
- The Purple Elephant, Blue Giraffe, and Pink Lion are sized differently
- Purple Elephant, Blue Giraffe and Pink Lion don't close their eyes
- The Blue Giraffe is running instead of jumping onto the screen
- The Pink Lion skips onto the screen instead of jumping onto the screen
- The Purple Elephant walks instead of running
- The Purple Elephant comes while "Hooray!" is yelled instead of after
- Moose walks to the water instead of running since he has a flower umbrella to reveal the Nick Jr. logo
- In the Noggin version, The ending had Moose grew branches out of his antlers, but in the Nick Jr. version, he had a flower umbrella and threw it offscreen once the purple elephant stopped spraying water.
- Moose appears with the logo instead of Zee.
- Two of the paintings from the art room are under the logo.
- The bumblebee, the pink and white striped bee, and the butterfly don’t appear at the end flying around due to the size and width of the Nick Jr. logo.
