The daytime block was one of the two main programming blocks on the Noggin channel, along with The N block. When Noggin first launched in 1999, the daytime block started out as a "general" block aimed at kids aged 3-18. Especially from 2-5 PM, the daytime block catered exclusively to tweens and teenagers.

From April 2002 onward, Noggin introduced a new teen-focused programming block called The N. The daytime block was repurposed as a block exclusively for preschoolers. The block was hosted by Feetface from April 2002 to April 2003, and by Moose and Zee for the rest of the channel's run.

History[]

From 1999 to 2002, the daytime block wasn't a distinct block. Noggin aired a variety of shows during the daytime, aimed at younger kids in the mornings and older kids in the afternoons.

On April 1, 2002, the block was relaunched as a block aimed completely at preschoolers. The first host of the block was Feetface, a round blue mascot. The block's tagline was "Everyday something new to think and do," and each broadcast day started with a music video of the same name.

Amy Friedman decided to give Noggin a facelift, and the block's technical crew went to different preschools for inspiration. The result was unveiled on April 7, 2003, when the block was redesigned to look like "arts-and-crafts" and given a pair of new hosts, Moose and Zee. The block's new slogan was "It's like preschool on TV." This incarnation of the daytime block lasted until the Noggin channel closed and replaced with Nick Jr. on September 28, 2009.
